Prof. Jean-Marie Kileshye Onema

 

Prof. Jean-Marie Kileshye Onema is the Network Manager of WaterNet. 

Dr Kileshye-Onema holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the School of Engineering and Built Environment, University of Witwatersrand, South Africa; a Masters Degree in Water Resources Engineering and Management (WREM), from the University of Zimbabwe and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Lubumbashi. Dr Kileshye-Onema is a WaterNet alumni from D R Congo and serves as a Board member of CapNet/UNDP. He joined WaterNet in August 2010 as the Research Coordinator and coordinated the implementation of a number of research projects including: the ongoing Trans boundary Water Resource Management project in the Zambezi River Basin; Challenge Program on Water and Food – CPWF (2011-2013); and the FP7 Improved Drought Early Warning for Adaptation in Africa – DEWFORA (2011-2013).In November 2013, Dr Kileshye-Onema was appointed WaterNet Manager as the Head of the WaterNet Executive management He now executes and coordinates all WaterNet activities through members jointly with a  dedicated team at the Secretariat.
